This is part of "The ABC's of Death", an anthology of short horror films from 26 directors, using the letters of the alphabet to make a short film about death, and I'm only uploading the short films with Asian filmmakers. I edited the commentary in the beginning and parts after "The End". This short is notable for Noboru Iguchi's butt and schoolgirl fetish. Another notable example is "Zombie Butt - Potty of the Dead".

Nick Cage was plays a great Dracula.
It was humorous. The fights were well done and gory.
And they didn't waste any time getting to the point, it was a tight 90 minutes,.

A proper version can be found on the usual torrent networks bought on the usual streaming services so I decided to give it a watch
Honestly it was pretty mid IMO feels like something I'd not have watched if there wasn't all the pearl clutching over the movie
There wasn't even anything wingcucked about it? Just an enthusiastic Homeland Security agent out to get the pedos... and that's about it. There weren't any political undertones or anything that I was able to sense
I recall one of the complaints about the movie was that it was anti-immigration or something but I honestly think that's an insane stretch because I can only figure out one reason someone might think that - because the protagonist was rescuing a kid trafficked in Colombia? Like immediately I thought of Echo 3 which was also set in Colombia and also involved rescuing someone except instead of a young girl it's an adult woman being rescued
And it was an American p-do trafficker getting nabbed that set off the whole chain of events leading to the protagonist heading off into Colombia to rescue the girl
I feel like I was tricked by the fricking journos into wasting 2 hours of my life watching a pretty mid movie
btw Gen V is pretty good lol i liked it a lot
@911roofer thoughts? since you're the main "Sound of Freedom" poster around here

I went to the movies last night with my friends to watch Oppenheimer, I give it a solid 8/10.
Very well acted, great cinematography and unlike TENET the sound mixing wasn’t terrible. Some people complain about the Trinity Test been underwhelming, but I thought they went with a “realistic” depiction, the preparations for Trinity scenes were great.
My only issues are some parts of the dialogue, which is not Nolan’s forte.
One of my friends said he expected to sleep, but after the movie ended he said he didn’t sleep for a minute and stayed glued on the screen, interesting how this R rated, 3 hours biopic is about to make 80M+ on it’s first weekend in the US.

I just got round to watching this one. It was pretty cool at the start. Annoying, needy, sexless gf who you can't break up with because she's going through some difficult event is something that's probably familiar to a lot of people. And then having to deal with someone close to you sending ominous suicidal messages and stressing you the frick out is also pretty relatable. So I thought it was clever how she was both annoying af but also someone you feel symapthy for.
The awkwardness with her amongst the friend group, and then the forgetting of her birthday and etc was all quite subtle and nice to watch. Not many films are very good at showing social problems in a subtle way.
But then as soon as it got to the ritual suicide scene that all kind of flipped on its head and no one really acted like real human beings any more.
>well, it's their culture I guess heh
>let's argue about our university work instead because that's obviously what we'll be thinking about now
And then it was back to the usual who's gonna die first formula.
The sense of dread against the idyllic scenery was pretty cool and effective though. But there was far more gore than was necessary.
Overall more good than bad but kind of feels like a missed opportunity to make something properly cool.
Also it seemed that it was a very polarising film. It wasn't the greatest thing in the world but I don't know why people would hate it.

They also have related articles on sharks and film, and are definately on the spectrum. Their founder says he has watched Jaws at least 500 times:
This is one of their writers:
They even have an ichthyologist (who is a bit cute) on staff and a psychologist (who is not, but I'm sure she is lovely on the inside) specialising in human perception of sharks.
I don't mean to mock them as they have some interesting, if brief, articles:
Robert Shaw tried to start on-set JAWS fight after losing at ping-pong
JAWS and other movies with hard-to-watch death scenes
Extremely rare for these waters: Why did the shark in JAWS choose Amity Island?
