What is a plural? :marseyconfused:A plural is according to themselves

Plurality is the state of having multiple headmates collectively sharing a single body. A group of headmates is called a system. Plural experiences are extremely diverse. Systems may be spiritual in nature or secular, median or partitionary, small systems or ones with thousands of headmates

According to regular people you might be aware of them as people who fake DID/MPD, You might've thought of it as a small mostly TikTok based community that was around for a short period in 2020 if any of you remember the infamous video

>HI im bunny! :marseybunny2:H-h-h-hey im oliver :marseygigaretard:

Now how do these people explain themselves after being accussed of faking DID :marseyquestion:

DID is a specific psychiatric diagnosis. It is a Complex Dissociative Disorder(CDD) alongside several other disorders like P-DID (ICD only), OSDD, and UDD.

Some plural folks meet the criteria of a CDD, but many do not, as these disorders have very specific criteria- and experiencing 'more than one' experiences of various kinds is only one of those.

So they created a whole new spectrum lol

Some important words used in these spaces:

Plural = a person experiencing plurality :marseyautism:

Singlet = someone who isn't plural :marseygigachad:

System = a group of people inside the body :marseymeds:

Headmate = an entity inside the system

switching = a headmate taking over the system from another headmate

sysmed = someone who believes "systems" can only exist in disorders such as DID

Theres more terms (some are funny asf :marseylaugh:) but those are the most important: https://dragonsroost.neocities.org/plural/pluralglossary

--

What are the causes of plurality (besides being an attentionseeker even doe i and (you) !attentionmaxxers are one aswell)

Traumagenic is the name for plurality caused from having trauma

Plurality can also come from tulpamancy (if you didn't know tulpamancers are the coomers of the occult world)

and other causes are called endogenic which spawns the terms "endo" and "anti-endo"

Internet history

They seem to have begun in 2001 when a website named darkpersonalities created an article on why they don't identify with their diagnosis (im assuming this was actual diagnosed ppl not identifying cuz im not reading allat), But the actual time i found when this whole community i think took off is when in 2019 streamer protomagicalgirl disclosed their plurality, which made the xitter :marseybluecheck: hashtag #pluralgang trend and made many people "recognize" they were also plural

Summary:

Basically every doctor is given something called an NPI number by the federal government. Every state also gives out licenses to work there.

Garry said he went to Harvard, worked in New Mexico as a hematologist/oncologist and also said he had a 5 letter last name. I looked up all hematologists/oncologists who have ever been licensed in NM. (The NPI database shows this, you can search by taxonomy) None with a 5 letter last name went to Harvard. (He was challenging people to doxx him)

Like a month ago I asked him about this. First he said he didn’t have to be licensed in NM as he wasn’t practicing as a doctor, just overseeing the clinic. Then he said he changed his last name so it wasn’t actually 5 letters in the NPI system. Today he claims he was only licensed in CA. Btw maiden names are listed in the NPI database, pretty sure.

This is on top of him lying about donating marrow post cancer (not allowed) & some other crazy things like $100 tires for his lambo, pics of which he won’t post. Think there’s more car drama but wasn’t here for it and idc.

He also said he was terminal with Burkitt’s lymphoma and had 5-7 months but now says he’s in treatment and will go back to work soon (??).

When I called him out earlier he said to look up his former boss at some lab who had an NPI starting with the “T15”. NO NPI STARTS WITH T. They literally ALL start with 1.

I always assumed he worked in a lab but wasn’t a doctor since he has tons of pathology posts (diagnosing disease) and not much about treatment. Oncologists DO NOT DIAGNOSE.

Also I have NEVER EVER heard of someone who is both an ER physician and an oncologist (two separate taxonomies). There are oncologists for ICU/intermediate ICU etc who work at hospitals but they are NOT ER doctors.

He also frequently misspells HIPAA as HIPPA which is a privacy law that you literally see every fricking day even if you’re a secretary in healthcare.

Anyways it just never added up so I made the post, and he made a post saying I was jelly of not being the only cancer survivor (fair). Then he sent me a message asking for a truce.

I asked for proof such as his NPI number. He said no. I said I can’t help u unless I can verify someone with your demographics exists (like 7 letters of last name & oncologist in CA, so not even that specific)

Then I said I would take it down (to get him to confess). He then said would make a post where he admits he “fabricated” some stuff but still say he is a doctor. I gave him 48 hours. He’s doubling down. So now I’m posting again.

Original post I deleted:

Garry Chess: Fake Doctor? No hematologist/oncologist with a 5 letter last name has ever been license in NM who went to Harvard

It’s easy to search for yourself.

I asked him about it but it still doesn’t sit right with me, especially after people saying he lies about his cars etc. Garry says his NPI (national provider identifier, every doctor, dentist, PA, etc has one) is under his “old” (?) last name and he’s not licensed as he’s not practicing. The NPPES database includes providers with expired licenses, just FYI, so it’s a very convenient excuse he has changed his last name at some point.

He’s now saying he was licensed in CA and references someone whose NPI allegedly starts with T15. NPIs are 10 digits and start with 1. LITERALLY ALL OF THEM. They do not start with letters.

I think he’s actually a clinical director or similar LARPing as a doctor.

I hesitated to say anything just in case the cancer stuff was real but even that seems to be a changing story….

Idk about the car drama. Someone else can chime in.

That was first thing that got me really sus

Edit 3:

Okay so idk how many of us have gone through chemo but I did at 27 & otherwise healthy and I would almost fricking collapse in Target and have to sit on the bench in the pharmacy or lean on the cart sometimes with sweat pouring down my face so this is laughable. Sometimes I couldn’t even get my mail. My mom had to do my laundry bc I couldn’t physically carry it to the laundry room in my complex. Idk, maybe he’s a super human who could go hiking during a very intense chemo regimen (worse than the one I went through). Don’t doubt there are people who can but…. I’m sure most people’s bullshit detectors are off the charts rn.

Edit 4:

Just remembered…99% sure maiden names come up in parentheses when you search if someone updated their NPI info.

EFFORTPOST Australian women behaving badly :marseyaustralian::marseyroo::marseyoceania:

AUSTRALIAN WOMEN BEHAVING BADLY

Also known as Down Under, Australia is the smallest continent, and it consists of three countries, namely: Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and Australia. Today, we will discuss three Australian women who were naughty and brought shame to themselves. Before we dive in, I think it would be necessary to give a little background regarding the Australian continent.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16985839601388807.webp

Papua New Guinea

When the continent is discussed, Papua New Guinea is often neglected, so it would be wise to discuss this interesting country briefly. The islands of Papua and New Guinea were discovered by the Western world in the sixteenth century by Portuguese and Spanish explorers. In 1884, Germany took control of about a quarter of the islands, calling it German New Guinea, and plantations were established. In the same year, Britain claimed control of the Southern coast of New Guinea and called it British New Guinea. It was established as a protectorate, though ownership of this protectorate would be passed to the Australian Commonwealth in 1902.

Australia forcibly seized German New Guinea during World War 1, and during the Pacific War, the Allies defended the territory from Japanese invasion until Japan surrendered in 1945. Following this, Papua and New Guinea would be merged to form what was known as The Territory of Papua and New Guinea. While it operated as a single body, it was still under the control of the Australian government. In 1975, the territory freed itself from Western control and became an independent State.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16985839607853272.webp

New Zealand

New Zealand is an island country consisting primarily of the North Island and the South Island, as well as over 700 smaller islands. It is regarded as one of the last land masses that humans settled on.

It is believed that it was found by Kope, a Polynesian explorer, in the 14th century. The Polynesians settled here, eventually forming what would become the Maori tribe. The Maori's way of life was disrupted when European colonialism began. In the 17th century, Abel Tasman the British explorer discovered New Zealand, and not long after it was fully mapped by James Cook in the 18th century. Conflict arose, resulting in large swaths of Maori land being seized by British colonizers.

Today, New Zealand is part of the Commonwealth, and large strides have been taken to restore the dignity and wealth of the Maori. The country is also noted for being one of the first in the world to give women the right to vote.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16985839604267588.webp

Australia

Today, of course, we'll be discussing Australia. Its colonial history is a long and brutal one with effects that permeate into the modern day. With the arrival of the First Fleet on the island in 1788, Europeans were confronted with a strange land that they often did not understand or appreciate.

Europeans viewed the Australian land and people as ancient, primitive, and endemically resistant to progress. Such judgments reflected the Europeans' confused and defensive reaction to ecology and a way of living in a land very different from their own. This reaction allowed the Europeans to legitimize their colonization by casting themselves as superior to the ‘savage' Aborigines.

Their failure to appreciate the Aborigines' knowledge is evident in the Europeans' responses to fire. Although many early observers recognized that the Aborigines set fire to the land, they were at a loss to understand why and certainly did not see it as a crucial land management practice. Such an unthinking dismissal of an ancient practice is characteristic of the Europeans' views of the Aborigines as uncivilized and backward.

With the contextualization out of the way, we can begin our discussion on the three women. We'll be looking at what they did, what the public reaction was, and how the women reacted to the consequences of their actions. The three women are:

  • Mel Greig

  • Belle Gibson

  • Raina Thaiday

Without further ado, let's begin.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16985839568176222.webp

Mel Greig

Born in 1982, Mel Greig is no stranger to the media. In 2011, she participated in the Australian version of The Amazing Race, and she has also written for publications such as Yahoo Be.

In 2012, she began co-hosting the Hot30 Countdown on 2Day FM with Matty Acton, and then Mike Christian. This job wouldn't last for long. In December of the same year, she and her co-hosts decided to pull a prank. You see, at the time, Catherine Middleton, Princess of Wales, was in hospital in London. This was big news, and plenty of New Zealanders were sending their best wishes to the princess.

Mel and Mike pretended to be the king and queen, and they phoned the hospital, asking about Catherine. The phone was picked up by Jacintha Saldanha, a nurse at King Edward VII Hospital. Jacintha fell for the joke and even proceeded to forward them to the nurse who was taking care of Catherine. You can listen to the whole thing here:

Personally, I can't see how not one but two women fell for that. Jacintha was mortified when she discovered she had been bamboozled. Unable to face the humiliation, she committed suicide and left a note stating that the prank was the reason she did it.

The suicide caused a great backlash, and advertisers began boycotting the radio station. Mel was subjected to online bullying and hate mail which, in a strange turn of events, made her suicidal. Mel has taken responsibility for her role in the prank, and she has publicly expressed her regret at ever doing it.

I think she is an otherwise good person, and it was just an unlucky string of events that led to her being named in a suicide letter.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16985839572884257.webp

Belle Gibson

Belle Gibson was born in 1991, and by all accounts, she had a normal childhood. In her teen years, she picked up skateboarding, but that didn't last long. It is believed she dropped out of school in Year 10.

In 2013, Belle publicly claimed to have cancer. Not just cancer, but multiple cancers, including brain cancer and blood, spleen, uterine, liver, and kidney cancer. Shocking many, she claimed that she was shunning conventional medicine and treating herself through healthy eating.

Encouraging others to take the same route, she released an app called The Whole Pantry which outlined healthy eating for people with cancer. She also released a cookbook of the same name. Forever generous, Belle Gibson also claimed that a percentage of the proceeds would be going to charity. Her health claims continued, and she stated that she has had multiple heart surgeries and that she once suffered a stroke.

Of course, this couldn't continue indefinitely. Eventually, journ*lists began sniffing around and realized that Belle was lying a lot. Eventually, it was unearthed that she had never had cancer. She bamboozled people with a sob story to get them to buy her book. She also gave false hope to cancer patients and quite possibly turned them off conventional medicine.

Since the uncovering of her lie, Belle has been publicly shamed, and she received a hefty fine for making false claims about donating to charity. She has not paid these fines, which has led to her house being raided at least twice. She now claims that she is part of the Omoro tribe, though the tribe has denied this.

I think she's cute, and she should be forgiven.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/16985839574109356.webp

Raina Thaiday

Despite the extent of this tragedy, there is very little information available on it. Raina Thaiday was a woman known to have schizophrenia. Despite this, she had at least nine children, and she lived with them, along with her neice and her child, in a single home. Her first child she gave birth to when she was 14.

Her oldest daughter, Norena Warrena, has described Raina as a very loving mother who was close to all her children. She was also a chronic marijuana user, which did not do favors for her mental health.

In December 2014, she had a schizophrenic episode that started with her killing the family duck and cleaning the house obsessively for a week to rid it of evil. A dove told her to kill her children, which she did. She killed 7 of them and a niece. The youngest victim was 2 and the oldest was 14. Her weapon of choice? A knife which she used to slash all the children in the home before she turned it on herself and stabbed herself 35 times.

She did not die, and after hospitalization, made a full recovery. She was put on trial for the murders, but it was found that she was not of sound mind when the murders occurred. Hence, she was taken to a mental healthcare facility instead, where she resides to this day.

CONCLUSION

Thanks for reading. Writing these is a nice distraction from the horrors of life as a poor incel. Sometimes I get so lonely it physically hurts. Tune in next time when we discuss the best Oprah episodes.

EFFORTPOST Yu-Gi-Oh! is hard, but not because of funny border colors

Modern YGO being hard is one of those lasting imprints the franchise left on the wider zeitgeist, along with draw 2 cards:marseypotofsneed: and le censored boobays :marseymommymilkers:

It's not exactly wrong. IDK if it's much harder than Magic because im not a boomer. But one of the boomerisms used often is ":klanjak: we have black cards now!?"

I'm going to go over the new summoning mechanics implemented over the years and then some actually unintuitive rulings.

New Monster Types

Most of this is set dressings. They aren't harder than the ol' reliable Fusion monsters, with one expection, which i'll get to.

Synchro

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048108915200143.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/170481089162219.webp

To Synchro summon, you just need monsters on the field whose total stars equal that of the Synchro monster, with one of them being a Tuner monster. One Tuner, any number of any monsters. You can see if a monster is Tuner by looking at it's tribes on top of the effect text box. They work like normal monsters in any other context.

To Syncro summon Stardust Dragon(8), you'd use Galaxy Serpent(2), a Level 6 monster, or two Level 3 monsters along with any other combination. It's just addition r-slur :marseyretard:

Some of them can specify other materials, restrictions on how few monsters you can use and the like. But these are few and far between. It's also still just addition :marseyretard4:

XYZ

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704810891719892.webp

This is even more generic. To summon a Rank 4 XYZ monster, you need 2 Level 4 monsters. Simple. Do take note, you can't use an XYZ monster as a generic material for another XYZ monster, because they technically have Ranks instead of Levels. Which is mostly an arbitrary distinction and won't come up often.

The complicated thing about XYZ is what happens to their materials. They don't go to the Graveyard like Fusion or Synchro materials. You stack them under the XYZ card you summoned. XYZ monsters have effects that activate by taking out some of those materials and putting them into the Graveyard, but this doesn't activate effects of monsters that pop when they are sent to the Graveyard. Quite unintuitive, but just consider that a card is in the aether if it is under an XYZ card. Most cards can't interact with them, unless they have an effect specifically to do just that. This wasn't always the case, but it was changed several years ago to prevent some unintended interactions.

Links

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704810891819861.webp

Links just requires as many monsters on the field as their Link rating. You can see their Link rating on where their DEF stat would be, because Links can't be put on defense position.

When using Link monsters as material for a new Link summon, you can use their rating as how many monsters they count as. So, to Link Summon a Link 3, you can use 3 monsters, or a Link 2 + 1 monster.

They have as many arrows on their art border as their rating. If you have no Link monsters, you need to summon your first one on the Extra Monster Zone, which is the 2 extra Zones added with this mechanic. All subsequent Links must be summoned to a zone which is being pointed to by an existing Link monster.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048108919381497.webp

This isn't complicated in execution, but does raise eyebrows by those who came back to the game. Since zone placements have not mattered much before Links came around. Also makes it hard to play without a mat if you aren't very careful with how you place your cards.

Pendulum

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048108921147652.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048108922194436.webp

This is the start of complicated mechanics in this write up.

Okay, why do they look so weird? Because they are both monsters and spell cards. But not at the same time. If you summon them, they're monsters. If you play them on the spell & trap zone, they're spells. Only one effect text is in the works at any given time, depending on it's position. Top for spell, bottom for monster.

To Pendulum summon, you need to play 2 of them as spells, on the left-most and right-most zone of the S&T zone. These are called the Pendulum scales. They're numbers under the left and right arrows on the card. These are always the same number.

Once a turn, you can summon as many monsters as you want from your hand, whose levels are between the pendulum scales. If you played SG and TG magicians in your pendulum zone, your scales are 1-8. That means you can summon monsters whose levels are 2 to 7.

Pendulum monsters also don't go to the Graveyard when destroyed. They go on top of the extra deck, face-up. You can summon one of these Pendulum monsters on your extra deck with your pendulum summon. They work like Link monsters, in that they have to either go into an Extra monster zone, or a zone a link arrow points to.

Even though these cards don't go into the GY when destroyed, they mechanically work like do. So if you had Banisher on the field, they would be banished instead of going to the extra deck.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704810892324994.webp :#marseyeyelidpulling:

Too much text

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048108924239984.webp

I might as well use Pendulums to segway into the most common complaint, cards have too much text.

Endymion here is the face of what was the one good Pendulum deck for years, so it's hardly a misplaced example for the problem.

As I said in the previous segment, at any given point only one of those text boxes is in effect, so you don't have to take it all in one go.

Problem Solving Card Text

PSCT is what Konami came up with to standardize card text and leave less things up to interpretation. Cards made before this have weird phrasing;

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048127193109243.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048127193958285.webp

Under any condition? sounds foreboding.

But this format has a problem with verbosity.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704814821250436.webp

Look at all the punctuation. Colons signify conditions for the effect, semi colons start chains, commas separate steps of the same effect, stops end an effect.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048148213066776.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048148213632078.webp

The original version played in Japan is a bit more readable. They separate different effects by numbered points. Konami America didn't chose to import this part of the game for some reason.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048148214223177.webp

No Keywords

Unlike Magic, YGO doesn't have keywords. It was only a couple of years ago they abbreviated Graveyard to GY. This causes a lot of common effects creating text bloat.

Take Once Per Turn for example. This is a stipulation that is printed on most cards made in the last decade. The most common form, called Hard Once Per Turn, is signified by "You can only use each effect of "Card Name" once per turn". The use of the "Card Name" makes it so you can't use duplicate copies of the card either. But since YGO cards also have long names besides long effects, this contributes to the :marseylongpost: problem. If they got the point across by just writing HOPT at the end of the card, it would greatly improve readability.

Perhaps the most egregious example of this is writing rulings that are already implied.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048276459515285.webp

This is a Gemini card, shown as a tribe on top of the effect box. But the gemini mechanic is still written beneath it. Anything preceding the point in this card text is also in every Gemini card. They can remove that paragraph and nothing of value would be lost. Geminis suck anyway, so :marseyshrug:

Confusing Mechanics

Targeting vs Non-Targeting

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048148215113387.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048148215886922.webp

Can Dingirsu "Send 1 card your opponent controls to the GY." Obelisk, who is "Neither player can target this card with card effects."? Yes. The targeting mechanic requires the card to specifically use that term. The window to respond also opens when you target with a targeting effect, but if it doesn't target you can only respond as the effect is activated. On that note;

Destruction vs Non-Destruction

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048148216824617.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048160876647909.webp

Can Dingirsu "Send 1 card your opponent controls to the GY." Cocytus, who is "Cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects."? Same. For an effect to be destruction, it has to say it verbatim. It also skirts by effects that pop when they're destroyed. But Banisher also banishes them, like it does with Pendulum monsters, because they were supposed to go to the GY.

Spell Speed

Spell Speed is a fan term to show which effects can be responded to by an effect. The slowest effects are Normal Spells and Ignition effects.

For example, Lonefire Blossom can "Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 face-up Plant monster; Special Summon 1 Plant monster from your Deck." You can only activate this effect during your Main Phases. It can't respond to your opponent's effects, nor can it be activated during your opponent's turn. Same is true for normal spells like Monster Reborn.

Traps and quick effects are faster, they can respond to the activation of other effects and can be used on your opponent's turn. Quick effects are signified by this logo on spells, and as text on monster effects:

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048160877686605.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048160878026583.webp

But the fastest cards are Counter Traps, which can only be responded to by other Counter Traps https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048160878317013.webp

Inherent Summon

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704821517906105.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704821518010554.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048215181126046.webp

Question, Steelswarm Roach can;

when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: [Text]; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it.

Then which of these cards would it be able to negate the summon of, Cyber Dragon or Beat Bison?

It's Cyber Dragon. Why? Because it doesn't have a colon or semi-colon. Roach negates Summons, not effects to summon. Cyber Dragon's ability to summon itself from the hand is an effect, but it doesn't activate. It just happens. This is an Inherent Summon, which goes for Extra Deck summons too. Meanwhile, Beat Bison activates an effect that special summons itself. If you wanted to negate the summon of Beat Bison, you'd need an effect that negates monster effects.

Summons don't start chains, but the monster hitting the field does. Think of the summon as the game state immediately preceding it hitting the field.

Summoning Conditions

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704821518222771.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048215183191273.webp

Sky Fire is a strong monster with a hard summoning condition. But thankfully it has a support card that can summon it from the GY "ignoring its Summoning conditions". Now you can just mill it to the GY and resurrect it for easy access, right?

No, as it turns out. If a card has summoning conditions, it has to be summoned properly first before it can be cheated out with other cards. So, Flattop can revive a Sky Fire that was properly summoned but then sent to the GY, but can't revive a Sky Fire that was sent to the GY from the deck by Foolish Burial.

Fun fact, Sky Fire's groin missles were removed in the TCG because it was too phallic for the American audiences.

Missed Timing

This is a distinction of When and If. If the activation requirement for an effect is written as "If [thing] happens" then it will activate with no problem. But if it is "When [thing] happens" it will miss timing, and won't resolve.

An effect misses timing when it isn't resolved immediately after it's activation. This happens when an effect is chained to the when effect. Chains start resolving from last to first activation, so if a when effect is chained to; it will activate, another effect will activate and resolve, then the when effect will miss timing.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704821518417305.webp

If you Synchro Summoned Whale, which can:

When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all your opponent's Attack Position monsters.

But your opponent chained a quick effect to it's activation, the effect won't go off.

Negate Activation vs Effect

When an effect is negated, the effect tries to resolve and then fizzles out. But some cards also negate the activation, which makes it so the effect can't even attempt to resolve.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17048253245881655.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/1704825324690457.webp

This doesn't come up often, but if a card has a once per turn clause, if its activation was negated, a second copy can be used afterward. But if the effect is negated, you can't activate any more of that card, since the once per turn effect has already attempted to resolve. Even more of an edge case; while cards that can only be "activated" OPT can be reused if their activation was negated, cards that can only be "used" OPT can't. Because you already used them, even though they were negated.

Negating at the point of resolution

This is an amendment to an amendment of the previous point, but this is another form of effect negation. Cards that negate at resolution don't have colons or semicolons in their text, meaning they don't start chains. Unlike other forms of negation, here the card activates like it's going to resolve, then just fizzles.

Normally, negation that is not continuous are applied as a reaction to an effect, forming a chain over the effect that it will negate. With resolution negation, you choose to negate as the effect is going through, like if you are going to negate the chain 1 effect of a chain with 3 steps, you'd wait for the first 2 steps to resolve, then negate the final effect at it's resolution.

EFFORTPOST The Oxford Shooting Part 2 (also learning to cope without seething)

It's finally hit me that I got let go and am unemployed. It's joever in a way I've never experienced prior. Past experiences have calloused my mind against rejection to some degree, which is perhaps why I just feel numb more than anything else. I presume as time passes and I digest the situation more, the psychological effects will become more profound.

I've found keeping the curtains open and letting some sun in does help with not getting sucked into depression. It also helps if you continue to do things you'd normally do like laundry. Just small achievements instil a sense of normalcy and don't let you fall into that "I can't do anything" mindset. I will get out of this stronger than I was, and I still believe in myself.

Today I'd like discuss part 2 of the Oxford shooting. Part 1 is here:

https://rdrama.net/post/240705/the-oxford-shooting-also-respect-andp

In the first part of this series, we delved into the background of the shooting and how many red flags were missed. The kid was basically letting everyone know he was going to be violent, yet he was given a gun by his parents. This post will discuss what happened during the shooting and how adults continued to make baffling choices that resulted in even more deaths than necessary. All information is gathered from the official report which is over 500 pages long.

https://oxfordresponse.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/FINAL-REPORT-OCS-Investigation.pdf

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17093133910492392.webp

The shooting starts

The catastrophic event begins in the bathroom of the south 200 hallway. Here, Ethan Crumbley enters a cubicle retrieves his weapon from his backpack and peepees it. He wasn't alone in the bathroom and there were at least two other students there. The gun is then hidden in his hoodie.

When he walks out, one of the students asks his friend "did he just peepee a gun?", and his question is answered when the sound of gunshots ring. Within the first seven seconds of leaving the bathroom, he had already shot seven students, killing two. These deaths were unpreventable the moment Crumbly walked out the bathroom, which stresses the importance of PREVENTION rather than REACTION. Once a shooter brings a gun into the school, it's Joever. Nobody is fast enough to stop multiple casualties from occurring at that point.

Phoebe Arthur and Elijah Muelle, who were standing together, are the first to get shot. The Shooter looked directly at Elijah and then Eli heard a bang, followed by two more shots. They are wounded but survive their injuries. He then fires at the next group, consisting of Hana Juliana, Kylie Ossege, and Riley Franz. Hana, merely 14, dies from the bullets, while the rest are severely wounded. Unfortunately, Crumbley is not done with his rampage just yet. Like a horrible person, he shoots Hana again, goes to shoot John Ascuitti, and then shoots Hana once again. The 14yo stood no chance against this heathen.

One of the heroes, emerge, who hears the gunshot and heads to it. Her name is Phoebe and she plays dead as the killer walks past. When Crumbly is gone, she asks if anyone else is harmed, and their two responses make it makes it clear that things have changed. Students help into a classroom which is enforced ina room with Nightlock security just for these kinds of situations. They barricaded the door and tried to stop the shoot at least keep themselves safe. Here, Phoebe could call the paramedics who were then dispatch, but more on law enforcement responses later.

Phoebe is the first line of defence as she helped everyone into an abandoned classroom and locked it and 12:58 p.m. Paramedics were relatively fast, able to keep the child They sprung into action, unlike the police. They received their first call from them.

His next victim, Madisyn Baldwin, was shot at close range.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17093133912344866.webp

Point blantk shots

An unarmed girl with nothing to gain was a true hero. She got the students to a classroom that was barracaded and attempted in any way to treat Phoebe' gunshot wound. Phoebe was eventually airlifted to hospitall, allowing her to survive. I imagine how they must have felt, all that evil appearing in a moment meant for friendship. Feeling you and your friend fall to the ground and finally realizing"it's one of those." I'm pressed by folks who send texts saying they love their parents.

The event also ended with a point-blank shots. Both Justin and keegan were hiding in the bathroom. Justin was discovered, and Crumbly did not waste time riddling him with bullets. It appears Crumbley was silent throughout his rampage. The report highlights that the kids were fricked because there's no intercom in the bathroom, so reports of a mass shooting would not have been heard.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/170931339502535.webp

Hana

The report is pretty long, so we can spend time on various deaths. Remember, Crumbly killed four and injured many others with his weapon of war. As you know, Hana was the first victim.

It appears that the school is a massive one, and not everyone knew what was going on at first. The story of a girl named Hanah is horrific. She met up with friends named Riley Franz and Kylie Ossege, as well as an unnamed fourth student. Crumbly had them in his sights, and his intentions were deadly.

After those rounds of attacks, if you can call them that, Crumbly finds another standing together. It becomes obvious that he is aiming for groups, which I presume would intensify the level of violence. He relentlessly sprayed bullets at the students, one of them striking Hana principally, though the others were grievously harmed in the process. He then walked right up to Hana at point-blank. It has been speculated that there was an incel element to the attack and he specifically wanted to kill Hana

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1709313394745832.webp

Adults begin to frick up

As set forth above, video footage from OHS shows that EMS entered the short south 200 hallway at approximately 1:33 p.m., 21 minutes and 47 seconds after the first 911 call was placed and 15 minutes and 4 seconds after Louwaert and Yens first entered the short south 200 hallway. Do you like these numbers?

So the school was actually thoroughly prepared, much like Uvalde, but people were afraid to do the needful. The report states that Kim Potts, the OHS armed lunch monitor, joined Louwaert and Yens in the short south 200 hallway at approximately 12: 58 pm. and Potts began to assist students who had been shot.

Louwaert had provided Potts with a tourniquet to use on Hana, but Potts was unable to put it on Hana by herself.

Most people with these jobs aren't fit for actual action. They're also dumb. The classrooms had a locking system to keep students safe. One student and Manisyn pounded at the room window, so they were both visible. However, only one student was let in, and it wasn't Madison. Madison crouched behind a bin but Crumbly found and changed her life status to dead.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17093133914400368.webp

Adults run away

There are certain jobs where you're supposed to run toward the gunfire. That's the case for Kim Potts, OHS's armed lunchroom monitor. This is what she did when there was a shooter in a bathroom trapping multiple victims and she knew it:

after opening the door, Potts made a small movement forward, but then stopped. She remained in front of the open door for approximately two seconds before pulling herself back at approximately 12:58:04 p.m. and letting the door close

She basically Justin's fate literally by letting the door close. Put simply, she was afraid to get into a gunfight with a kid. From the document:

Justin would have been immediately visible to anyone who opened the door to the Second Bathroom if he had been there when the door was opened.

Potts did not continue into the bathroom, call for help, or alert anyone after opening the door, which would be expected if she had seen Justin when she opened the door.

the video footage contradicts Potts's recollection of events during her deposition. In her deposition testimony, Potts stated that she had been moving quickly through the hallways even before she met up with Gibson-Marshall

worst part

Although mortally wounded, Justin was still alive in the Second Bathroom when OCSO Deputy Yens opened the door to the bathroom at approximately 1:03 p.m.

Potts just shut up about the whole thing. Admittedly, some offers did the right thing.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/170931339447586.webp

The Others

There are others who were injured but didn't die. Here are some of their stories:

  • At approximately 12:51 p.m., as the Shooter started his northward walk in the long 200 hallway, he fired at a student running north in that corridor, away from him. This student told law enforcement that she had been standing in the hallway with friends when she heard sounds like a water bottle popping (which was something that kids at school did). She initially did not realize what was happening; when she understood what the popping sounds were, she tried to enter a nearby classroom but it was locked. She ran north, dropping her backpack as sh ran. When this student looked at her backpack after the shooting, she saw a bullet hole in the bag and discovered a bullet in a textbook inside her backpack

  • the first 9111 call was made 12:51 pm, so it took them 21 minutes to arrive

'* the school had an intercom system, but many did not take it seriously because of all the drills. Furthermore, it was hard to determine whether he was saying "this is a drill" or "this isn't a drill

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17093133943744576.webp

Conclusion

It's never over. You can fall down, but you have to get up and dust yourself off. Nobody can do it for you. It sucks that I'm a 28yo unemployed single man, but I have also got a PhD proposal finally accepted, a family that loves me, and a bunch of Pokemon cards to organise. I'll take a mental break this weekend then make job-hunting my temporary job for a while. it's okay to cry but I haven't been crying over it. Mommy's, not around to make it all better It's up to me to decide what my tomorrow will look like despite the setback.

TL;DR A lot of people got mad at me for posting wholesome Bible verses on /r/Christianity

Prolouge

This story begins with /r/RoeVWadeCelebration. Now, I have a general rule when trolling to never argue for things I actually agree with, and I lean slightly pro-life on the issue of abortion (I'm more of a centrist, but I think pro-choice people have terrible arguments. Like I get it you are losing "freedom", but that is entirely tangential to the problem at hand :marseyshrug:). However, I couldn't resist a good opportunity to troll redditors, so I decided to try Christmaxxing (more on that on my other post). I had been meaning to try it, but had never gotten around to it. (trolling rightoids is too much fun)

I had some good fun trolling /r/RoeVWadeCelebration's resident lolcows, but I wanted to bring more actual Christposters into the fold (dramamaxxing), so I went to the most logical place to find Pro-Life Christposters - /r/Christianity. Boy was I wrong.

The Absurd Nature of /r/Christianity

![](/images/16526290586181974.webp)

the front page of /r/Christianity, on 5/15

Even a cursory glance at /r/Christianity will reveal that there is something very bizarre going on. Firstly, pretty much everything posted there has a rather liberal bias (compared to "normal" conservative Christianity). In fact, it seems almost apologetic for being Christian. And, more importantly, a decent chunk of posters aren't even Christians!

![](/images/16526285915841637.webp)

im beginning to notice something

So, what's going on? Well, based on my observations, /r/Christianity has three distinct groups of people that browse it.

  1. The Atheist Agitators :marseyweeb:: These people browse /r/Christianity in an attempt to debunk the lies of religion. Obviously, the vast, vast majority of redditors are atheists, so it makes sense that we would have a decent-sized population of them. They also get a lot of upvotes for the same reason.

  2. The Malleable (((Methodists))) :soyjak:: These are liberal Christians. They aren't very numerous in the real world, but on a site that is as predominantly liberal as reddit, they are the largest group, by far. (Technically, they aren't all methodists, there are other denominations that are fairly liberal, like the Universalists, and people that don't go to church). These guys make a big show about being better than your average Christians because they have New Good Opinions™ rather than Old Bad Opinions™. Since the itself Bible is fairly problematic, a lot of them don't believe the Bible is accurate.

  3. The Conservative Christians :marseyboomer:: These are the sorts of people that you'd meet if you went into most churches in America. However, reddit isn't kind to these people, being both "conservative" and "christian". Therefore, they don't generally use reddit, so they have a small population on /r/Christianity.

Because reddit is democratic, the "normal" Conservatives are pushed into a corner, while the rest circlejerk about how bad they are.

There's also something to be said about the mod team. /r/Christianity has a mod bio for their jannies, and my "biased" count shows there being 4 atheists, 7 methodist/liberal, and 9 "normal" jannies. So, the libs outnumber the cons by 2. As you would expect, the liberal Christians do be liberal:

I was raised Southern Baptist. In college, I went through a major deconstruction of my faith. The Episcopal Church is now where I call home! In the past, I’ve held Evangelical, Calvinist, and charismatic theological views. During that deconstruction, I was curious in Death of God theologies, Christian atheism, and other radical theologies. Now, my theology is again creedally orthodox, and highly influenced by liberation theology and contextual theologies, such as Black, disability, and queer theologies.

I live in Washington, D.C. with my wonderful husband of two years, and work in affordable housing. In my free time, I’m usually reading, running, or watching Netflix. Star Trek TNG was the most formative show of my childhood, but nowadays you can catch me on my fifth watch-through of The Office.

Even the "cons" aren't nessisarily even that conservative (I lumped my denominations that I consider to be more biblically focused together as "conservatives")

He plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and synthesizers in church. He is also pursuing, part time, an MA degree for Worship Arts + Pastoral Counseling. He is a Libertarian NeverTrumper. MBTI: ENTJ. DiSC: C/D.

oh yeah, a lot of them list their Myers-Briggs lol

The Plan

Given the fact that they were so liberal, but it was still technically a Christian subreddit, I saw the opportunity to begin causing a little bit of mischief. Now, obviously the Bible is problematic in and of itself, with verses that condemn homosexuality and sexual immorality :marseypearlclutch: but that is so passé. That's ragebait and rightoid. Instead, I would post wholesome bible verses that have a somewhat prolife bent, and wait for people to get mad at the literal bible on /r/Christianity. I did this for six days.

Day 1: The Crusade Begins

My first post was 🤗"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" Psalm 139:13-14 👶. This one got 37 comments, and a respectable 69% upvote ratio. Despite the fact that this was posted to rile up leftoids, a decent chunk of the commenters were actually positive. Of the four top level comments, only one was challenging me. (Don't worry, things will heat up soon)

I did get a couple of bites, however. My first customer was a "gay christian"

![](/images/16526326545336454.webp)

our debate didn't last, however, it did spawn a WORDSWORDSWORDS debate between a conservative and him, so I count that as a win. My next customer was cumberlandbanjo, saying this "isn't the debate of the day"

![](/images/16526328897809176.webp)

wtf dude, you can't just post bible verses on /r/Christianity

Day 2: Nothing happens

This was a boring day. I only got three comments and they were all positive. 🤗 "You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews. You have granted me life and steadfast love." Job 10:11-12 👶🧵

Day 3: Enter McClanky

Day three was my first big hit. The vast majority of comments were seething. More importantly, our two biggest lolcows make their first appearances - McClanky and TeHeBasil.

TeHeBasil

First, TeHeBasil. TeHeBasil is an atheist, but more importantly he can never leave a conversation without getting the last word, which I stan hardcore. Our first conversation just kept going...

![](/images/16526336641590157.webp)

notice that he calls me rude. this is what you call foreshadowing.

...and going...

![](/images/16526337824397333.webp)

...and going...

![](/images/16526338376108298.webp)

...and going.

![](/images/165263387313138.webp)

The funny thing about tehebasil is that he is super entitled, and gets very easily "annoyed". "ITS PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO DROVE ME AWAY FROM THE CHURCH" ok so? you're already out of the church, why would I care? lol

McClanky

TeHeBasil isn't my favorite lolcow, however. My favorite lolcow is McClanky. McClanky is a moderator, and a bit of an butt. Our first confrontation began with him posting a verse I had seen multiple times (lmk if any of you christcels know a good comeback for this, this is like the third time I've seen it)

Ahh yes, God finds everything so precious that He helped create a potion that, at the least made a women incapable of having another child, or, at the most, made her miscarry. Very precious indeed.

“‘The priest shall bring her and have her stand before the Lord. 17 Then he shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the tabernacle floor into the water. 18 After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the reminder-offering, the grain offering for jealousy, while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse.19 Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, “If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you. 20 But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curs—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”

🤰🧴💀🧟‍♂️👼👿

clearly mcclanky had been aware of my emoji-posting, and had probably been stalking me lol. So I asked him.

mcclanky why do you dislike bible verses so much? 🤔 you keep coming into these threads to troll me 😭 i don't understand why 😭😭😭alright have a blessed day, peace

I dislike your annoying use of emojis 🤢. You also seem to not understand that this is a subreddit for discussion🙈. Your posting things related to hot-button issues😱. Don't expect people to kiss your feet🤮 and praise your intelligence🤓 for posting a verse with emojis💤.

ok. 🤷‍♂️ well i will keep doing what i am doing, bc jesus said that i would face persecution

if you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they keep my word, they will also keep yours

i hope you find peace, mclanky. ✌ have a blessed day

This isn't persecution. That is a pretty egotistical thing to say in relation to people who are actually being persecuted. You just don't have people agreeing with you.

"i hope you find peace, mclanky."

I appreciate it, but I found it a long time ago.

neighbor, you're questioning, how tf you gonna say you have peace?

![](/images/16526343512352362.webp)

Naturally TeHeBasil pops into the thread and begins doing what he does.

"ok. 🤷‍♂️ well i will keep doing what i am doing, bc jesus said that i would face persecution"

That's such a sad state of mind. Where you think you're doing a good or right thing because someone else said others wouldn't like it.

I mean, come on.

id rather trust jesus 👆 than mcclanky 🤷‍♂️ alright have a blessed day

Another funny comment comes from a self-described atheist

Also the way this person says have a blessed day peace, like normally I have no problem but the way this person is using it sounds like they are trying to end the conversation, like why bother posting on a social site if you are basically ignoring everyone?

One more thing. You'll never guess what religious group McClanky has ties to

![](/images/1652634609985632.webp)

oh jesus im really starting to notice things

Day 4: My Big Break

On day four, for whatever reason, my post exploded, and I got a TON of seethe, at a whopping 269 comments. It was also one of the weakest verses, because it was taken mostly out of context, lol. that probably boosted it.

The trouble with emojis

My favorite part of day four was the fact that so many people began seething about my usage of emojis. The top comment, gilded and sitting at 170 updoots, claims it is a red flag. So, naturally, I asked why

These emojis are a 🚩

Yeah, excessive use of emojis always causes alarms for me

what alarms does it cause? genuinely curious alright have a blessed day, peace

here's reddit explaining the emoji question

Reminds me of MLM girl bosses

say you hate women without saying you hate women

It reads like a facebook post made by a karen / "girlboss" kind of person lol.

why is it always karen? 🤔 really makes you think.

Why do you think emojis would be a good thing? Would you ever put that in anything important that you were writing? A resume? An obituary? A legal document?

the internet is serious business.

Emojis generally aren’t welcome on Reddit

That sentence is two words too long.

somebody call /r/emojipolice 🚨

For me its indicative of lazy writing. The person often can't be bothered with capitalization, punctuation, they often don't know subtle differences of words, they don't know how to write for brevity or emotional impact. Just “word bites”. But the most important one is that lazy writing often comes with lazy thinking. Use of emojis isn't a guarantee of any of these issues, I’ve just noticed a correlation.

ah so you think that a person who uses emojis is "dumb" for lack of a better word? 🧠well ill be the first to admit im not an einstien lol. ⚛ im just a normal guy that wants to praise jesus... 👆 anyways i think ill keep using emojis for now 😁 alright have a blessed day, peace

Not at all. Said nothing about intelligence or lack of it, but rather laziness when it comes to writing. You aren't bothering to capitalize or use punctuation correctly, but because you're too lazy to put in the effort. I don't blame you though, I think it's a problem created by social media where capturing a simple essence of an idea and the poster's emotional response in a visual way is far more “rewarded” in these social apps, than actually deeply thinking about a topic and putting in the effort to clearly communicate your ideas.

It has nothing to do with intelligence, but effort and expectation. You claim you're “just a normal guy” so are you claiming normal people can't learn to write, punctuate and use grammar correctly? I disagree. It's not that hard to do. We teach it in elementary school. If you never learned it, that's a failing of the school system. Again, not a measure of intelligence.

Lastly, you jumping to the conclusion I’m claiming you're “dumb” is a good example of a similar problem, not taking the time to fully read and comprehend. It seems like something which comes from having a ton of social interactions on sites like twitter where short emotive comments are of more value than in-depth analysis.

im just a normal guy who wants to praise jesus 🤷‍♂️ i really dont see what the big deal is😕anyways, have a blessed day, peace

this guy is super smart

Day of the Mop

McClanky appeared once again, and acted like an absolute butt. So, I had to ask the obvious question

God knew us before our birth 👆 he had plans before us before we even came out of the womb 👶 he knew us even before there was time ⌚which means that all babies are precious💎and so are you😀alright have a blessed day, peace

That ☠ was a bunch of word salad 🥗 that did not answer 😐 anything that I said 🥸. This verse 🙄 does nothing but say God 🤲🏿 is omnipresent.

so? 🤔 it proves that God has a plan for all people 🤼 check this out

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

alright have a blessed day, peace

God 🤲🏿 has 👉 a 🧞‍♂️ plan 🛩 for 4️⃣ people 👾 who 🦉were 👈 going 🏃‍♀️💨 to 2️⃣ be 🐝 born👶not ⛔ those 👪 who 🦉 were 👈 going 🏃‍♀️💨 to 2️⃣ be 🐝 aborted 👼 or 🚣‍♂️ miscarried 😇.

you sound kind of angry mcclanky 😭idk why you are so mean 😭 it doesn't matter, ill just keep praising jesus 👆 alright, have ablessed day, peace

Your inability to actually try to have a discussion on a subreddit dedicated to having discussions is weird.

i only posted a bible verse 😭😭😭i thought this was the /r/Christianity subreddit🤔im not on /r/atheism , go there lol 🤣 anyways have a blessed day, peace

Please do not tell me or other users to go somewhere else. That is a discourse violation. You are welcome to post on this forum, but we expect users to have good-faith conversations.

😂😂😂 this is a discourse violation 😂😂😂
